SWEDISH TEXTILE ART 1996 to 2000
A continuous interest for Swedish textiles woven and embroidered by women in the farming communities in southernmost Sweden, during the 18th and 19th centuries, have been reflected in a multitude of ways during the last 40 years – from a local as well as international viewpoint.
Visible via an increasing number of private collectors, publishing of books on the subject, well-visited exhibitions and auctions of art woven textiles.
